salmon+leeks+potatoes (lots of potatoes)
I've been lazy with cooking all summer (but Sant'Erasmo vegetables - tomatoes and cucumbers - worked perfect for my many Greek salads) and now I find myself wishing it were already autumn, because it should be autumn but it seems that summer is going to last forever! Cold dishes and salads are still delicious but I wanted something different so I tried a 'jaga-niku' or maybe nabemono style of cooking for some salmon I had in the freezer. I cut the salmon and some delicious potatoes (Sant'Erasmo, yess!) in pieces, added some leek and flavoured with tamari shoyu, then covered everything with katsuobushi soup. I simmered the salmon and potatoes for about 35 minutes and ... tasted! delicious (but not very nice to look at...need to improove the look!)

Hobbiton -> di qua!
con un po' di ritardo, pubblico le foto scattate ad Hobbiton 2009 (5-6 settembre, Marostica)
Hobbiton took place in Marostica on 5 and 6 September. I expected something quite different, more classic hobbit style entertainments and above all a real Hobbit gastronomic stand but there was not even one! not even one lembas cookie..can you believe it?
It was the XVIth edition as usually organized by the Italian Tolkien Society. I hope they will be able to improove it, I would be happy to join in with a gluten-free Hobbit cookies stand!!!

un negozio tutto senza glutine a Venezia
ho avuto la 'soffiata' da mia sorella e trovate l'articolo completo sulla Nuova Venezia di oggi (che non ho sotto mano): on line non è consultabile, ancora, ma si legge almeno questo:

La titolare, Azzurra Viola, ha allestisto anche una bacheca per mettere a disposizione informazioni su varie associazioni, da quelle specifiche come l'Aic a quelle animaliste. C'è anche un tavolino giochi per i bambini!

gnocchi di zucca con tanto pecorino sopra!
pumpkin gnocchi with a lot of pecorino cheese!
I simply steamed half a pumpkin (pic. 1) and then mashed it with one egg, some gluten free flour, salt and nutmeg. It is almost impossible to shape the gnocchi nicely with the spoon but anyway, they tasted good! I cooked them in salted boiling water and then added butter and pecorino cheese.
